Third circular, May 2006

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

this is the third circular for the meeting: "Trans Neptunian Objects: dynamical and physico-chemical properties" (Catania, Italy, Hotel Nettuno 3-7 July 2006). Web address: http://www.oact.inaf.it/tno2006/.
This circular has been sent only to the meeting participants.
Please note:
1-The meeting final program is on the web together with the participant list. Please have a look and contact us in case of mistakes (Names, titles ...etc).
2-Presentations: we'll have a pc windows XP based, so power point presentations are welcomed. We strongly suggest to carry an USB memory stick or CD in order to setup (please at least 1 day in advance!) the presentation in the computer.
3-Posters: the available space is 90cmx120cm for each poster.

In the next circular we will give you details on transportation from the airport to the Hotel.
See you in Catania

Second circular, January 2006

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

Thank you to those of you that have filled the pre-registration form (about 70) for the meeting: "Trans Neptunian Objects: dynamical and physico-chemical properties" (
Catania, Italy, Hotel Nettuno, http://www.hotel-nettuno.it/, 3-7 July 2006). Web address: http://www.oact.inaf.it/tno2006/.

This 2nd circular is just to remember you that it is now time to submit your Abstract and to fill the Hotel booking form (dead-line 31 March 2006).

In preparing your abstract you might consider that organizers wish that this is a slow talking meeting. Here slow, in analogy with slow food, means to have enough time to discuss what speaker says. Speakers are warmly invited to introduce open questions and different points of view. Invited speakers can talk 30 min, contributed speakers 15 min. We will ask the chairs to favour the discussion after each talk.

The maximum number of posters will be 30.

We do not plan to publish proceedings.

LOCATION:

Hotel Nettuno (http://www.hotel-nettuno.it/) is a four star hotel placed on the (Ionian!) sea. About 70 double rooms have been reserved for the participants.

Prices are 110 euros (with breakfast) for double occupancy and 95 euros (with breakfast) for single occupancy. Meals can be daily booked at 25 euros/meal.

Who wish to stay in a different hotel has to book the room(s) by himself. On the meeting web site a link to other hotels in Catania is given.

We will manage the booking of participants that wish to stay at Hotel Nettuno.

FEES:

NO REGISTRATION FEE IS REQUESTED.

No social activities are scheduled. However swimming (sea and pool) activities can be done freely at the Hotel.

Many tourist activities can be organized directly at the Hotel.

(I am also trying to convince Mount Etna to exhibit some volcanic activity!!)
